The Beatty Lab will move to the brand new, state-of-the-art Collaborative Life Sciences Building (CSLB) in July 2014!  This builiding will house researchers from OHSU, PSU, and OSU.  The building features an open floor plan which is designed to promote close interactions among researchers from a variety of fields.  The Gray, Gibbs, and Nan labs will also share lab space on the same floor as the Beatty lab.

In February, Katie Tallman and Dr. Beatty toured the new building.  They were both impressed with the research space, and look forward to moving in this summer.  The lab space includes large fume hoods and ample bench space for biology work.  The desks face large windows with a view towards downtown.  The lab is adjacent to a room designated for BSL-2 ("pathogen") work.  Elsewhere in the building will be a microscopy suite, which features a vibrationally isolated floor.  This suite will house the FEI Living Lab.
